Today is White Ribbon Day - an opportunity to bring people together to raise awareness and commit to action to prevent men's violence against women.

Busways staff are invited to participate in White Ribbon Day by purchasing a white ribbon and help spread the message. Wearing a white ribbon demonstrates never taking part in, condoning or staying silent about violence against women.

We’ll be participating in the 16 days of Activism campaign with the provision of a bus for two events in Coffs Harbour on the NSW north coast. The bus is wrapped in special livery to help spread the vital message of ‘say no to domestic violence’ (pictured below with our Regional Operations Support Manager Wayne Humphreys). The livery also includes emergency phone numbers if anyone needs help.

The 16 days of Activism calls for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. It begins on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and goes to 10 December, Human Rights Day.

Also pictured below are Busways staff from the Blacktown depot, proudly wearing their white ribbons.
