The GoTransit Reconciliation Action Plan outlines clear, practical steps to strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities with First Nations peoples across Australia.

It’s official: our Reconciliation Action Plan has been fully endorsed!

GoTransit’s Reflect RAP Marks a Major Milestone

GoTransit Media Group has achieved a significant milestone with Reconciliation Australia’s endorsement of its inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan. The GoTransit Reconciliation Action Plan signals a long-term commitment to meaningful reconciliation with First Nations peoples, communities and partners across its national transit network.

While many RAPs can take up to two years to develop, GoTransit’s plan moved from registration to endorsement within months. This rapid progress reflects focused collaboration, strong internal governance and a clear roadmap for the next 12 months.

Embedding Reconciliation into How GoTransit Operates

The GoTransit Reconciliation Action Plan is structured around Reconciliation Australia’s RAP pillars: Relationships, Respect, Opportunities and Governance. These pillars guide practical actions such as cultural learning, community engagement and creating greater opportunities for economic participation.

Executive General Manager Andrea Coles says the team has embraced cultural awareness and participated in multiple cultural events, building “meaningful, genuine and enduring reconciliation” into both corporate responsibilities and individual actions. Reconciliation is being embedded into the way GoTransit operates as a national out-of-home media leader.

Guided by a Dedicated RAP Working Group

The RAP will be governed and delivered by GoTransit’s Inaugural RAP Working Group, representing key functions across the business:

  • Aidan Price – Group Agency Director
  • Alecia Hirst – Client Services Co-Ordinator
  • Andrea Coles – Executive General Manager
  • Anthony Ball – Production Director
  • Brooke Hindmarsh – Marketing Lead
  • Caleb Harriott – Director of Operations and Partnerships
  • Paula Kerr – Director Social Impact and Strategic Partnerships
  • Tania Humphris – Sales Director, NT and WA

RAP Chair Paula Kerr notes that the plan “sets practical, accountable steps for the next 12 months, and it’s only the beginning.” With endorsement secured, the Working Group is now focused on implementation, measurement and continuous improvement.

Building on Existing First Nations Partnerships

The GoTransit Reconciliation Action Plan also formalises years of existing engagement with First Nations partners. This includes cultural experiences with Undumbi Culture on Kabi Kabi Country, creative wellbeing workshops with Deadly Dot Pots, and truth-telling at The Ration Shed Museum on Wakka Wakka Country, alongside support for community initiatives across GoTransit’s transit network.

At the heart of the Reflect RAP is GoTransit’s official reconciliation artwork, Connections to Country by Aunty Bridgette Chilli, a Traditional Owner and Elder. Her artwork represents songlines, pathways and shared custodianship – a visual reminder of the land we share, and the responsibility to pass on its stories. With the Reflect GoTransit Reconciliation Action Plan now endorsed, the foundation is set for future RAPs and sustained impact in the years ahead.
