GoTransit Media Group is excited to welcome Michael “Desi” Desiere as Group Sales Director – Independent Agencies, further strengthening our focus on the indie agency market. With more than two decades of media experience and a passion for partnership-led growth, Desi will play a key role in shaping GoTransit’s next phase of transit out-of-home innovation.
GoTransit Media Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael “Desi” Desiere as Group Sales Director – Independent Agencies, a strategic hire that reinforces our commitment to Australia’s independent media and creative agencies.
With over 20 years’ experience across some of Australia’s most influential media organisations, Desi has held senior roles at News Corp Australia, Nine Entertainment Company and, most recently, marketing analytics scale-up Mutinex. Over that time, he has built a strong reputation for driving commercial growth, leading high-performing teams and cultivating trusted, long-term agency partnerships.

Strengthening GoTransit’s independent agency offering
The independent agency sector has been a major strategic focus for GoTransit over the past two years, as advertisers look for more flexible, insights-led transit out-of-home solutions.
Desi will lead GoTransit’s dedicated Independent Agency division, working alongside director of sales Kirrily Hirst and an experienced national team to:
- Deepen relationships with independent media and creative agencies
- Develop tailored transit OOH solutions across bus, light rail and taxi formats
- Translate data and insights into measurable outcomes for clients
This appointment follows GoTransit’s recent recognition at the IMAA Awards, where the business won the Value Proposition Award and was named a finalist in the Service & Relationships Award, underscoring our focus on service excellence and client partnerships.
A people-first leader with a passion for experience
Beyond his commercial track record, Desi brings a strong people-first leadership style and a genuine love of entertainment and live experiences. That blend of creativity and commercial focus aligns closely with GoTransit’s mission to help brands show up in more human, memorable ways across our national transit network.
As GoTransit enters 2026, Michael Desiere’s appointment marks an important step in supporting indie agencies with scalable, high-impact transit campaigns.
