When DJ FISHER and Hard Fizz teamed up with GoTransit for the build up to Gold Coast’s Out 2 Lunch Festival, they didn’t just show up; they blew up. With three wrapped buses, a mobile rave, and over 975K organic impressions, this brand activation turned heads wherever it went.
“It was a great activation. It’s no easy feat to drive through Surfers Paradise and have people say, ‘that’s not something you see every day’,”
– Joel Scott, Buzz Generator at Hard Fizz.
Looking to turn heads and drive brand engagement? Just ask Hard Fizz, an alcoholic seltzer brand that Australian’s are FROTHING for (as co-owner DJ Fisher would say). GoTransit reached out to Hard Fizz to ride the wave that was the Out 2 Lunch Festival headlining the World’s No. 1 House DJ, Fisher. The festival was one of the most talked about events of the year, and we kicked off the weekend with a brand activation that matched the energy of the brand that had people asking, “where was my invite?!”.
Together, we launched a high-impact outdoor campaign that blended bus advertising, event marketing, and social media amplification into one unstoppable fizz-fuelled ride.
The Brief: Drive Alcoholic Seltzer Awareness in Key QLD Markets
With competition in the alcoholic beverage space heating up, especially in Queensland where some of the most iconic beer and spirit brands originate, Hard Fizz was already the drink of choice at the Out 2 Lunch festival. The Marketing Manager, or “Buzz Generator,” wanted to take things further by fulfilling a long-held dream — a ‘Bus Rave’ that would bring a new kind of energy to an already buzzing weekend.
Their goal was to:
- Increase brand visibility across the Gold Coast
- Tap into the energy of the Out 2 Lunch Festival and the hype that comes from DJ Fisher
- Create viral moments across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok

The Activation:
As part of the promotional lead-up to the Out 2 Lunch festival, we launched three wrapped Hard Fizz buses across Gold Coast.
On May 2nd, we ventured down to the Hard Fizz Taproom and set up the stage. Two B2B DJ’s set up the DJ and Hard Fizz invited 40 of the Gold Coast’s top influencers and hype generators.
The bus driver laid out the rules and it was time to go; we parked up in key areas around the Gold Coast and we brought the energy and visibility. Check out just some of the heads we turned on our Instagram here.
