GoTransit Media Group teamed up with Zenith and Audience Group for a corporate volunteering day at Foodbank Queensland, packing 280 Food for Kids hampers—seven pallets of essentials to support families through the September school holidays. It was fast, friendly and a little competitive; if you’d like to roll up your sleeves next time, raise your hand.
When school holidays roll around, many Queensland families temporarily lose access to vital school food-relief programs. Last week, our teams at GoTransit invited our friends from Zenith and Audience Group to roll up their sleeves at Foodbank Queensland and together we turned compassion into action.
280 hampers, 7 pallets, countless smiles
With the clock ticking, in under 3 hours, we packed 280 “Food for Kids” hampers filling seven pallets with staples like noodles, canned goods and snacks to help keep children fed through the September break. It was fast, fun and (let’s be honest) fiercely competitive. A water bottle may have met an untimely end, and one box briefly tested gravity, but the clock didn’t beat us… we beat the clock.

Why Foodbank is Important
Food insecurity is affecting far too many Queensland households. As we learned on site, thousands of families are doing it tough, especially when school breakfast programs pause for holidays. These hampers provide a simple, immediate boost for kids who need it most.
Volunteering days like this prove that purpose scales with teamwork. Zenith and Audience Group brought serious hustle and heart, matching our crew stride for stride as we formed human conveyor belts, perfected the cadence of can-stacking and became lightning-fast Mi Goreng packers.

Huge gratitude to everyone who joined in, and to the leaders who made it happen. We’re also proud to stand alongside Foodbank Queensland’s wider network of corporate partners who, collectively, helped prepare more than 5,000 hampers ready to reach schools by next Friday.
